Avelyn Davee is author of the cozy isekai LitRPG progression fantasy Chaos and Capybaras, currently posting on Patreon and Royal Road.
Avelyn is a singer-songwriter who has been performing as a solo musician for over 10 years. She started in the medieval and renaissance music scene, performing around the country at Ren Faires and in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). She performs medieval music on harp as well as original music about the time period.
She recently moved into filk, the music of fandom, where she performs both serious and comedic songs accompanied by her ukelele. She writes and performs songs based on books, especially within the LitRPG genre (such as Dungeon Crawler Carl and He Who Fights With Monsters), as well as Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy, sci-fi, and gaming.
She has performed at various conventions and arts events, such as HearthCon (an online cozy fantasy convention), GAFilk and Ohio Valley Filk Festival (OVFF), Maker Fair Orlando, and Gulf Wars and Pennsic (events hosted by the SCA).
In addition to her work as a singer-songwriter, Avelyn is an active professional Dickens-style Christmas Caroler, a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and performs on Cello in the local orchestra.
When not doing music, she frequently performs theater and improv and has held roles in musicals and, most often, Commedia dell’Arte (improvised comedic plays).
