My friend Mathias Blackett and I wrote a song inspired by He Who Fights With Monsters about the main character, Jason Asano, and all of the things that are “Kinda his thing”. It was a blast to write (and yes, I did go through the books and make a giant list of all the things he said were his thing as research for the song.).
